A Secondary Eye was founded with the aim of further developing the secondary market for art in Australia. To provide an alternative to an auction house if collectors wish to sell privately. Located on Queen Street in Woollahra, we are a secondary market art gallery in Sydney that organises exhibitions alongside our core business of conducting private sales. 

A Secondary Eye has handled works by some of Australia’s most important and sought-after artists including Emily Kame Kngwarreye, Gordon Bennett, Rover Thomas, John Marwundjul, Ben Quilty, Howard Arkley, Sidney Nolan and Fred Williams, amongst many others. The gallery has placed works in important public and private collections, including the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra; the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney; the Queensland Art Gallery / Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane; and the Home of the Arts on the Gold Coast.
